One of Belmont's first pupils returns to her old school to celebrate
her 50th birthday
Marie Ferguson from Co.Antrim paid a nostalgic visit to Belmont on 29th June.Marie came to Belmont from her home town of Larne as a boarder, aged just 4 ,when Belmont first opened in 1961. This was her first visit since she left in 1972. She enjoyed touring the school and visiting her old classrooms and dormitory and even one of her old teachers ,Mr. Mace. She made a wish on St.Columb's stone with some friends before continuing with her birthday celebrations over a nice meal in a local restaurant. Come back and see us again Marie .
