Description of the Big House

Description of the Big House

The house is huge with lots of  different rooms and has two stories. At the front there are two bay windows.

The front hall  is very special . It has two big columns with decorations at the top.

The staircase has fancy iron rails and there is a little balcony at the top.

This part has not been changed since the house was built in 1833.

We found this piece about the house in  a book called Historic Buildings in and near the city of Derry published by the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society.
